QuickSchools now supports custom fields for Subjects/Courses, which can be really useful for tracking things like start/end dates, departments, long descriptions and so on. For more information on how Custom Fields work, check out this article:

Remember that when you add a custom field, you can also include it in the main list of subjects, and even search by specific custom fields. See Related Article:

Custom fields for Subjects/Courses are disabled by default. To turn it on, as an administrator, you’ll need to go to the “Features” page, and configure the “Report Cards/Gradebook” module to “Enable subject custom fields”.
