QuickSchools recently released:
- Online Payments: Schools in North America can now offer parents to pay online via the Parent Portal.
- Family Billing: Schools can now charge multiple students to a single parent
Both features are part of the “Fee Tracking” module, available on all our plans. To turn it on, just go to “Features” page, and click on the “Configure” button next to the “Fee Tracking” module. You should see a screen like this. Simply check the appropriate boxes, and save:

Online Payments
For online payments, we use a service called Stripe.com. You’ll need to sign up for an account, from the newly activated “Parent Payments” page:

Once you’ve entered your bank details, payments by parents will automatically be deposited into your account. Here’s what parents will see from their Parent Portal:

Some other features to note, you can use Stripe to perform full and partial refunds, handle disputes and payment failures. On occasion, you may need to synchronize transactions between Stripe and your QuickSchools account, but this process is fairly easy.
Please note that Stripe currently only works in the US and Canada (they may expand to other areas soon). They also accept USD and CAD currencies for US and Canadian banks.
Also note that all transactions incur a service charge. Please check your “Parent Payments” page for more info.
Family Billing
Once family billing is turned on, you’ll need to set the Primary Payer for each student. This is done from the student record. And so you may have multiple students linked to the same Primary Payer:

From there, the Fee Tracking module will be modified such that you can apply charges and payments to specific families (in this case, primary payer), and then allocate amounts to specific students as well:

Anyway, please feel free to try these out, and come chat with us if you have any questions. We’ll be publishing Online Manuals for these very soon as well.
