Vote Paula Randall for QuickSchools Teacher of the Year 2012!

Help Paula Randall win the inaugural QuickSchools Teacher of the Year awardTo all teachers out there, we salute you! QuickSchools.com is a fully-online school management system.

Paula Randall is a Rockstar Teacher!

Ms Randall teaches Multimedia Technology at the Regional Learning Academy in Rockford, Illinois. Ms Randall was nominated by a fellow colleague, Silvia, who had this to say…

She always goes above and beyond. She has great classroom management and really connects with the students. She helps other teachers when they are struggling.

Above and beyond – isn’t that awesome? We certainly think so! 🙂

We then asked Ms Randall a few questions…

How did you get into teaching?

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher.  The joy of imparting knowledge to children is a real blessing that only a teacher can bring to the classroom.  It is delightful to see a child’s eyes when they finally get a concept of when they are excited about learning.  I have always loved and have had a passion for helping, as well as working with children; naturally teaching became my career choice.  Throughout my years, I have found a love for continuing my own education that has enriched my students’ classroom experience exponentially.

What do you hope for your students?

I hope that my students will never forget the confidence I have imparted in them as well as their ability to know that they can achieve anything they want, go after anything they want, if they set their minds to it.  I want my students to go through life with the knowledge that their dreams and aspirations can come true, as well as knowing that they have the ability to make those around them feel good about themselves and feel successful too.

Anything you’d like to share with us? e.g. favorite moments, etc.

My thorough belief is that teachers shape our growing world. I believe everyone is who they are because one particular teacher shaped their life in a unique way. I would be truly honored if at least one of my students could walk away from my class with that feeling.
It is and has always been my personal goal to shape our youth and prepare them for their own futures. I continually try to gain knowledge on the most up to date teaching techniques as well as technologies available to our students, to help prepare them and give them each the best education possible.
