Some highlights below:

Notes for Online Payments from Parents

When parents make payment online, we can enable a new “Notes for School” text field:

Allow portal users to enter a “Note for School” when making a payment online

When parents fill in this field, the note will appear in the description of the payment:

“Note for School” is visible in the Fee Tracking module

This also applies to the generated receipt:

“Note for School” is visible in the printable Receipt
NOTE: This feature is in Private Beta, and is only available upon request. Please contact our support team to enable this. This feature will be released to all schools later this year.

Default Section Attendance for Teachers

When taking Section Attendance, teacher can be given the ability to change the default status, by clicking on the “Change Default” link on the Section Attendance page:

Allow Teachers to change the default Attendance Setting when taking attendance

When you click on it, you can select from the available Attendance options, and the system will use that setting to take all future attendance:

Teachers can set the default status when taking Section Attendance

If you’ve already taken attendance for a particular section, you can use the option to “Update student attendance for the current roster”, which will update the attendance for the current roster:

The current attendance can also be updated automatically

This setting is saved on a per teacher basis. So if 2 teachers are sharing the same section, then the system will apply the settings for the teacher who takes attendance first.

This is a beta feature that currently only applies to Section Attendance. Please contact our support team if you’d like this enabled for you, or if you’d like this feature available for other types of attendance (i.e. Homeroom-based, Period-based or Subject-based).

NOTE: This feature is in Private Beta, and is only available upon request. Please contact our support team to enable this. This feature will be released to all schools later this year.
