2019 has come and gone, with 2020 now in full swing. This is usually a good time to reflect on what we’ve accomplished in the past year, and serves to remind us of what we’re here to do. And for us at QuickSchools, we want to provide an awesome Student Information System that’s a joy to use.
So here are some highlights from 2019:
Continuing Priorities
The following items continued to be a priority for us from 2018:
- Chat Support
- On-Boarding for New Principals
- Engineering Transparency
- General Product Improvements
Support and service continue to be the central theme to our offering from year to year. It’s really the backbone to what we do. In addition to helping users understand the vast feature set that we offer, it’s also an opportunity for us to understand the difficulties that users face, and incorporate that understanding into future iterations of our product. Please chat it in with us, if you have any questions or comments about what we do and/or how we do things.

Apps for iOS / Android
Due to popular demand, we’ve started building apps on iOS and Android for both teachers and parents. These are still in beta. Please check out our newsletter for more information.
Back into Conferences
We’ve started going to conferences and conventions again after a long hiatus. Check out our recent list of venues, and let us know if there is a conference you’d like us to attend. Seeing new and potential customers face-to-face really gives us deeper insights into how schools run.
LMS Integration
We’ve actually introduced new integrations for both OdysseyWare and Google Classroom, adding to our existing Learning Management Systems (LMS) integration which already includes Schoology, Canvas and Haiku Learning. With this new capability, you can pull grades from OdysseyWare and Google Classroom into the QuickSchools Gradebook in order to produce Report Cards and Transcripts in QuickSchools. How awesome is that!
FYI, if you’re using Ignitia as your LMS / Curriculum Management, we can easily integrate to Ignitia since it uses the same API as OdysseyWare.
Master Scheduler
The Master Scheduler was introduced as a Beta App in 2018. But it’s gotten a lot of traction this past year, with some schools even adopting our Master Scheduler while still using their existing Student Information System (SIS). We’ve made multiple improvements to this module to cater to the nuances of schools based on their specific processes and use flows. We’re looking forward to further expanding this functionality with the help of feedback from schools.
Other App Store Additions
Some other noteworthy additions to the QuickSchools App Store include:
- Advanced Discipline
- Student Pathways (for the Master Scheduler)
- Interventions
- Subject-Based Lesson Plans
Incidentally, we’ve seen many schools adopt our App Developer Console to build their own custom / proprietary app on the QuickSchools platform. If you have an app you’d like us to showcase, please reach out to us. We’d love to share your successes in this area, as an example to other schools aspiring to build their own apps.
Here’s to an awesome 2020!
