Configure Access for Custom Fields

June 14, 2019

We introduced Module-Based Custom Fields to QuickSchools quite a while back. But did you know that in addition to creating different fields types (like text, dropdowns and checkboxes), you can also control access to who has read and/or write access to each field.

Start by clicking on the “Configure” link that appears on the bottom right corner of the Custom Fields section:

Configure Custom Fields

This will bring up a list of custom fields for that module. Simply select a user or a role from the dropdown under the “Who Can View” and “Who Can Edit” columns (just like you would when you configure access for Features):

If you’d like to see Custom Fields added for a module that does not already support it, please let us know via chat or email.
